Let’s Recruit Some Monthly Givers!
The beating heart of our global movement is The Renewal, our passionate family of monthly givers supporting Sudanese teachers and healthcare professionals. This step-by-step guide was crafted in partnership with a diverse group of these dedicated supporters. It’s helpful to view this guide as best practices to use when asking friends and family members to give monthly. Let’s get you started!
1. Make sure that you’re a member and learn what the family is all about!
If you have not started giving monthly yet, become a member of The Renewal here.
Our monthly donors who successfully recruited a friend discovered that their own giving was critical in persuading others to join them, regardless of what the giving amount was. We call our members a family for a reason!

2. Get Organized & Start Asking
Download and print The Renewal Recruitment Sheet and write down some close friends and family members who you think will join.
The people you are closest to are most likely to give monthly. You’ll be able to keep up with them over the next few weeks using this sheet. Members who use this tool usually get 20-40% more pledges than those who do not.
Once you have several people in mind, schedule a casual hangout with them and bring The Renewal up during the conversation. If they are interested and would like to learn more, text or email them this link.
3. Social Media & More
After you have made your personal asks, share The Renewal link on social media with a heartfelt message asking for gifts. Feel free to use this message and edit it to your liking:

If you need a photo to share on Instagram, go here, scroll to The Renewal Assets, and hit Download Social Media Photos. Friends and family will still be the most likely people to give, so keep following up with them using your Recruitment Sheet!
