Eden’s Run 5K

The 17th annual run for education in Sudan

Returning in 2026 | Overton Park in Memphis, TN

Our good friend Eden Siskind started this family-friendly run years ago when she was a student in Memphis. Join us for another year of celebrating teachers and students in Yida Refugee Camp, right outside of Sudan.

Timed Run & Walk

Serious runners to casual walkers are all welcome! Timing services are provided by our friends at Memphis Runners Track Club.

Awards & Bags

Medals for the top 5 fastest male and female runners. Register before August 1 to be guaranteed a runner's bag that includes a completion medal, shirt, and more.

After the Run

Enjoy pastries, yard games, and matcha with your fellow supporters after the run. There’s plenty for adults and kids alike!

2025 Registration Details

  • May 5-August 1: Earlybird at $25 per participant

  • August 2-15: General at $35 per participant

  • Runners who register before August 1 are guaranteed a runner's bag that includes a completion medal, t-shirt, and other goodies. If you register after this date we'll do our best to get you these items but can't guarantee it. As this is a smaller run, bag pickup is at the event.

  • Children 12 years old and up must be registered. Kids younger than this age can participate for free. All participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian register them.

Where The Money Goes

Operation Broken Silence is the only nonprofit in the world consistently supporting childhood education in Yida Refugee Camp. We sponsor the Endure Primary and Renewal Secondary Schools, where 22 Sudanese teachers serve more than 700 students every week.

When you join Eden’s Run 5K, you are helping to pay teacher salaries, deliver school supplies, and more.
