What’s happening in Sudan?
The world’s largest humanitarian crisis is happening right now in Sudan. It’s not making headlines—but it should be. Extreme violence has decimated cities and villages alike. Mass war crimes are ongoing.
80% of Sudan’s healthcare system has collapsed. Many farmers cannot work and aid access is extremely limited. Famine now plagues pockets of the country and is threatening more lives than the violence itself.

About The Design
Featuring the colors of Sudan’s national flag, the red setting of a destroyed city street in Khartoum shows the emergency in a literal sense. The woman in green walking toward the sun symbolizes a harsh reality: Sudanese women are bearing the brunt of the war even as many work tirelessly to feed the hungry and unite their communities against oppression. She is moving herself and her country toward a brighter future.
