What’s happening in Sudan?

The world’s largest humanitarian crisis is happening right now in Sudan. It’s not making headlines—but it should be. Extreme violence has decimated cities and villages alike. Mass war crimes remain ongoing. Sudan’s healthcare system has collapsed. Many farmers cannot work and aid access is extremely limited. Famine is spreading across the country and is threatening more lives than the violence itself.

Our Sudanese partners are overwhelmed and need your support to continue their lifesaving work.

Beneficiaries

Operation Broken Silence is dedicated to Sudanese communities, cultivating resilience and driving meaningful change through crowdfunded programs. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

A comic book cover titled 'Sudan Forever'. It features a woman in a green headscarf and long black dress walking through a city in ruins under a red sky with the sun setting. The scene shows destroyed buildings and rubble, with a black silhouette of Africa in the bottom right corner containing the text 'Operation Broken Silence'.

About The Design

Featuring the colors of Sudan’s national flag, the red setting of a destroyed city street in Khartoum shows the emergency in a literal sense. The woman in green walking toward the sun symbolizes a harsh reality: Sudanese women are bearing the brunt of the war even as many work tirelessly to feed the hungry and unite their communities against oppression. She is moving herself and her country toward a brighter future.
